SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE

Supplemental Insurance is available on an individual basis or through an employer’s benefit offering to their employees.

Supplemental Insurance is income protection. The fact is that most people do not have enough savings to absorb the financial fall out from an illness or accident. For them, if they don’t work, they won’t be paid. So the smallest accident or illness can easily set a family back significantly. This problem is compounded exponentially by the fact that most health insurance plans require the insured to pay a deductible before paying for treatment. The result: many people avoid getting needed treatment because they neither have the money to pay a high deductible, nor do they have the ability to miss work. If the injury or illness is serious one trip to the emergency room can easily open the door to bankruptcy!

This situation can be avoided by supplemental insurance. Rather than paying a doctor, hospital, or pharmacy, supplemental policies pay you. They allow the average person to get the necessary medical help without worrying about missing pay. They supplement the insureds income to help them weather the storm of unexpected medical bills.
